Access & Invitations
Invite colleagues to individual Sites and apply the least-privileged role they need.
Site roles
| Role | Use |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full Site capability and permanent Site ownership/deletion. |
| Admin | Day-to-day administration including access and Agent management; not Site ownership. |
| Operator | Power, console, snapshots, backups, VM configuration and monitoring operations. |
| Viewer | Read-only inventory and status. |
Invite a user
- Open Access in Portal.
- Select the Proxmox Site.
- Enter the person's email address.
- Choose Viewer, Operator or Admin.
- Send the invitation.
The recipient can use an existing HSVE account or create one from the invitation flow. They should use the exact email address the invitation was sent to.
Invitation lifecycle
- Invitation links expire after seven days.
- Resend creates a fresh link and invalidates the previous one.
- A pending invitation can be revoked immediately.
- Removing a member removes their Site membership but does not delete their HSVE account or alter Proxmox users.
Invited users and Portal entitlement
An invited user does not need to purchase the same Template Script to operate a Site shared with them. The invitation grants access only to the shared Site. Creating an unrelated Site still requires that account to have its own qualifying Template Script purchase.
Access audit
Portal records security events including invitation activity, membership changes, Agent re-enrolment, revocation, credential rotation and update-channel changes.
